Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to effectively manage the EWV scale up project and ensure that the project outcomes are realized within the stipulated time and according to project objectives and donor promise. The project manager is also a lead trainer of the EWV Project Model and will assume responsibility for ensuring that the project activities are integrated and mainstreamed within World Vision operations. Primarily the position will ensure capacity on the approach is built across the targeted offices. In addition, it will ensure that the lesson are being documented, communicated and shared across the Partnership to inform better programming.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

40% Ensure that EWV is integrated into Field Office strategies, technical programs and grants, including in fragile contexts

  • Ensure sufficient field office capacity for EWV (ToTs) in collaboration with the TSO
  • Coach and mentor EWV ToTs to cascade the program.
  • Engage Operations & Program quality teams to ensure FO leadership support
  • Coordinate regional team of EWV trainers across all regions
  • Ensure EWV is integrated with other technical projects at field level
  • Collaborate with NO GAM teams to ensure EWV is written in the grant proposals

15% Project Management and Serves as the main point of contact with WVUS in ensuring donor promise is achieved and communicated well.

  • Oversee project implementation and indicator reporting via iMPAQ system
  • Be the primary contact person and representative of the WVUS F&D Team in FO-level discussions around EWV scale up
  • Ensure that the EWV Scale Up Project meets the quality standards required (e.g. project burn rates, participant reach, indicator alignment and reporting, quality field reports, and project level learning and reflection.
  • Coordinate development of annual plans and budget
  • Coordinate monitor and reporting progress  monthly, quarterly and annually
  • Ensure effective use the finances and reporting
  • Supervise staff under him/her
  • Participate in WVUS F&D Supported Projects meetings
  • Represent the project and serve as EWV SME in donor engagement meetings

25% Strengthen EWV Design, Monitoring & Evaluation for greater impact

  • Collaborate with GC/RO/NO Program quality teams to ensure EWV indicators are standardized and applied across all FO EWV projects
  • Work with GC to complete the EWV Project Model documentation as a CPM
  • Work with GC to develop the ‘Design Implementation Quality Assurance’ documentation
  • Support NO’s to ensure that EWV activities and progress are captured in horizon
  • Support and coordinate EWV related research
  • Coordinate EWV publications
  • Coordinate the annual EWV Global learning forum

15% Engage with National Director, senior teams and technical specialists to plan and advocate for EWV

  • Coordinate EWV requests from National offices and ensure adequate and timely support
  • Ensure EWV is being integrated in technical programs and sectors in alignment with the EWV Design Implementation and Quality Assurance (DIQA)
  • Lead efforts with GAM teams to ensure EWV is integrated in proposals
  • Lead efforts to adapt EWV for varying implementation contexts and audience, including children and adolescents.

5% Other responsibilities:

  • Participate in other organizational meetings as required.
  • Participate in National offices strategy reviews
  • Lead efforts to use project monitoring data to build evidence of impact and facilitate programming improvements

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in development field
  • Spiritual maturity; clear articulation of personal faith in Christ about how their faith informs their life and work. Able to stand above denominational diversities.
  • Knowledge and experience with WV operations
  • Knowledge and experience with WV faith and development principles
  • At least five years of programme management experience
  • Facilitation skills in training or facilitating staff and community level empowerment approaches.
  • Experience in design, monitoring and evaluation (DM&E)
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
  • Must be computer literate
  • A good team player
  • Good communication and good inter-personal skills
  • Needs excellent English language skills, both oral and written
  • Understanding of basic accounting

Required Education,training, license,registration, and certification

  • Degree in related field desired (A Master’s degree will be an added advantage).
  • Degree in social science, community development or education or Masters in project management an added advantage.
  • Masters in a related theological training would be an added advantage.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Project management, M&E and Certified Trainer/Facilitator.
  • Knowledge of WV development programming approach an added advantage.
  • Ability to develop donor reports

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

  • Office-based with frequent travel to the field
  • 30% International travel is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to engage and influence others. Travel across regions
