Group Head of IT

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Director Business Excellence, the Group Head of IT is accountable for developing and executing the organization’s IT strategy and providing strategic leadership across all technology domains. The position drives alignment of technology architecture, cybersecurity posture and enterprise applications with strategic objectives across all operating markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate, implement and continuously evolve the Group IT strategy in alignment with business objectives and emerging technologies, with annual review cycles.
  • Core system ownership and modernization
  • Design and maintain the company’s technology architecture
  • Lead the company’s cybersecurity and governance while ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Manage relationships with platform vendors and technology providers
  • Drive IT innovation including cloud strategy, and technology stack rationalization.
  • Oversee IT budget planning, cost management and financial governance
  • Build, manage and develop a high-performing ICT team
  • Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies and procedures aligned to ISO 27001/2 and industry best practices.
  • Lead information security programs, disaster recovery testing, and IT regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to audit recommendations.

Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional certifications in IT management or governance (PMP, ITIL, COBIT, CISSP or equivalent) highly desirable
  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant IT experience with at least 5 years at senior management or leadership level.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, enterprise systems and digital transformation in a multi-country environment
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms and modern IT service delivery models.
