Tutorial Fellows/Lecturers/Senior lecturers/Associate Professors - Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmaceutics/Pharmacognosy/Clinical Pharmacy
We are seeking a strategic, forward thinking, industry connected, and student centric Tutorial Fellow with entrepreneurial acumen to foster teaching, research and innovation ecosystems. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the capability to bridge and academia and grow graduate employability while ensuring sustainability.
- To teach Pharmacy Units allocated by the Head of Department.
- Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
- Delivering high-quality lectures and practical sessions.
- Assess student performance through examinations, objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs), coursework, and practical evaluations.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and clinical placements.
- Reviewing pharmacy course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
- Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
- Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
- Seeking and participating in consultancies.
- Dissemination of research findings at national or international conferences, scientific symposiums and webinars.
- Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description;
Pharmacology (1 Position)
- Possesion of PhD will be an added advantage
- Minimum of a Masters degree in Pharmacology/MSc in Molecular Pharmacology from an accredited/ recognized University.
Pharmaceutics (1 Position)
- Possesion of PhD will be an added advantage
- Minimum of a Masters degree in Pharmaceutics /Industrial Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology from an accredited/ recognized University.?
Pharmaceutical Chemistry (1 position)
- Possesion of PhD will be an added advantage
- Minimum of a Masters degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Analysis/Medicinal Chemistry from an accredited/recognized university.
Pharmacognosy (1 Position)
- Possesion of PhD will be an added advantage
- Minimum of a Masters degree in Pharmacognosy/Pharmacognosy & Complimentary Medicine, Natural Products, Phythochemistry from an accredited/ recognized University.
Clinical Pharmacy (1 Position)
- Possesion of PhD will be an added advantage
- Minimum of a Masters degree in Clinical Pharmacy from an accredited/recognized university.
