Senior Lecturer - International Business Management
Duties and responsibilities
- To teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
- Design, develop, plan and deliver a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
- Deliver high-quality lectures and practicals.
- Providing students with real-world learning experiences and guidelines.
- Review course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
- Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
- Carry out research and write research grant proposals.
- Seek and participate in consultancies.
- Present research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
- Dissemination of research outputs.
- Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
- Ensure all academic activities align with the set standards.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description.
qualification and experience
- A PhD in International Business, International Trade or a related field from an accredited University.
- A Masters degree in International Business or a related field from an accredited University
- A Bachelors degree in Business or a related field from an accredited University.
- A minimum of thirty-two (32 equivalent publication points as a Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow, of which twenty-four (24) should be from refereed journal articles.
- Supervised at least two (2) postgraduate students.
- Attracted research funds as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow.
- Attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars and workshops.
- Evidence of being a member of a relevant professional body.
- Evidence of leadership (administrative experience, active participation in departmental /school/university/national/international activities).
