Oncology Nurse

The hospital seeks to recruit a Nurse to enhance the clinic services in MMH. Reporting to the Nursing Officer incharge, the holder of this position will glorify God by providing, promoting and maintaining high professional standards of nursing care, meeting patients’ needs in all aspects, and promoting job satisfaction for all other staff at the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Valid, up-to-date registration and practicing license with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
  • Minimum three (3) years’ of oncology, medical-surgical, or acute care experience preferred
  • Higher Diploma/Certificate in Oncology Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, empathetic bedside manner
  • Must be a born again and committed Christian with evidence of maturity in faith.
  • Must be an honest person full of integrity in their personal conduct and handling of job responsibilities.
  • The job holder must have clear understanding of emotional, psychological, and social state of people and offer sensitive and tactful support.
  • Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice. 
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Must be a team player who is able to work cordially in teams.
  • Must have the ability to communicate for both written and oral communication.
  • Must have knowledge in use of MS office packages.
