Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology is situated in Juja, 36 kilometres North East of Nairobi, along Nairobi-Thika Highway. It was started in 1981 as a Middle Level College (Jomo Kenyatta College of Agriculture and Technology (JKCAT)) by the Government of Kenya with the generous assistance from the Japanese Government.

Lecturer - Department of Animal Sciences

All applicants MUST:

  • Possess a PhD in Animal Sciences, Animal Production, or a closely related field, with specialization in Animal Nutrition, Animal Breeding and Genetics, Livestock Production Systems, or a related Animal Science discipline from an accredited and recognized institution;
  • Have earned a Master’s degree in Animal Sciences, Animal Nutrition, Animal Production, Animal Breeding and Genetics, Livestock Production Systems or a closely related field from an accredited and recognized university;
  • Have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Health, Production and Processing, Animal Science, Animal Production, Animal Health, or a closely related field from an accredited and recognized university;
  • Be registered with a relevant professional body (APSK, KVB). Teaching experience at the university level or in research or industry will be an added advantage.
