KCAU is located on Thika Road in Ruaraka, Nairobi, Kenya. The institution also maintains satellite colleges under the School of Professional Programmes in Githunguri, Kericho, Eldoret, Kisumu and Kitengela.

Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Modelling & Enrollment Analytics

  • Build, maintain, and update predictive financial models to forecast tuition revenue.
  • Analyse the financial impact of national student funding shifts.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions and Institutional Research teams to quantify the financial return on recruitment investments.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Variance Analysis

  • Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and review of the University’s annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly financial variance analysis.
  • Identify structural revenue risks and cost-saving opportunities across academic and administrative units.

Strategic Financial Aid & Scholarships Calibration

  • Conduct affordability risk assessments.
  • Develop mathematical models to calibrate internal scholarships and financial aid distribution.
  • Assess the affordability thresholds of various student income categories to recommend optimal, sustainable tuition pricing structures for new and existing academic programmes.

Academic Portfolio & Market Costing

  • Perform cost-benefit analyses on the University’s academic portfolio to assess financial viability and sustainability.
  • Provide data-driven financial recommendations for launching new academic programmes or restructuring existing curricula.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare comprehensive financial dashboards, executive summaries, and strategic concept papers.
  • Synthesise complex financial datasets into clear, non-technical presentations to guide decision-making.
  • Ensure all financial analysis and data collection comply with institutional data governance policies and national data protection regulations.
  • Any other duty assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business, or related area from an accredited/ recognised  University
  • Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and a Member of ICPAK in good standing.
  • Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA)
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial data analytics.
