Executive Driver
Job Objective
To provide safe, reliable, and efficient transport services for staff, students, and other University needs, while ensuring vehicle care, compliance with traffic laws, and upholding the University\'s professional image.
Duties and responsibilities
- Operate vehicles assigned for staff, students, or official errands.
- Maintain accurate trip records (mileage, destinations, fuel usage, passengers).
- Ensure valid insurance, inspection stickers, and licenses are up to date.
- Perform daily safety & maintenance checks and other routine maintenance.
- Keep a record of vehicle servicing schedules
- Make arrangements for the purchase of required spare parts
- Ensure passenger safety and comfort during transit.
- Drive institutional vehicles responsibly and in compliance with traffic laws.
- Uphold the institutions image when interacting with external parties.
- Demonstrate courtesy, punctuality, and discipline.
- Adhere to institutional transport schedules and assignments.
- Provide effective support in administrative and operational functions as assigned, ensuring efficient service delivery that enhances University performance
- Report incidents immediately to supervisors.
Qualification and experience
- A Diploma from a recognised institution.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- At least 3 years' experience as a D3 driver in a reputable institution.
- Basic knowledge of office procedures and Administrative support.
- A Certificate of Good Conduct and Defensive Driving Course is an added advantage.
- A valid institutional driver's license will be an added advantage.
- Experience in logistics/supply chain operations will be an added advantage.
