Advocacy Communications Intern

What You’ll Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (completed) in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Policy Studies, International Relations, or a related field, with at least six months of relevant experience gained through internships, coursework, or project-based work.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with visual storytelling and/or design best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multicultural and diverse teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Experience, coursework, or training in communications, advocacy, public policy, or related fields.
- Commitment to and demonstration of The Nature Conservancy’s core values.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, International Relations, Public Policy, Development Studies, Environmental Policy, Political Science, or a related field.
- Recent graduate who is not currently enrolled in school or college.
- Experience developing communications products such as factsheets, messaging frameworks, briefs, or media materials.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in advocacy, public policy, or strategic communications.
- Multilingual skills and cross-cultural experience.
- Graphic design and multimedia skills.
- Experience working collaboratively in partnerships
