Turkana University College was established on 27 th January, 2017 by Legal Notice No. 8 of 2017 as provided for in the Universities Act No. 42 of 2012 as a constituent College of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST). The University College was inaugurated by His Excellency and Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Honourable Dr. William Samoei Ruto. The University College was established with the aim of providing holistic education in humanities, science and technology for the development and management of the unexploited natural resources in Turkana County and the nation at large. It also aims at creating, preserving and disseminating knowledge and skills through teaching, research and outreach for the advancement of humanity.

Accountant II

Qualifications
The applicant must have:

  • Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Management/Administration or its equivalent and CPA Part III, with three (3) years' experience with three (3) years' experience as Assis- tant Accountant Scale 10 or its equivalent OR
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or its equivalent and CPA Part III with nine (9) years working experience three (3) of which as Assistant Accountant Scale 10 or its equivalent.
  • Be a registered member of recognized professional body.
  • ICT Competent.

  • Appointment to the position of Accountant II will be on permanent and pensionable terms.

  • Appointment to the position of Lecturer will be on permanent and pensionable terms. The position of Tutorial Fellow and Graduate Trainee will be on a two-year contract.
